The keynote that stays with you.
THE KEYNOTE
Richie Harkham has spent years speaking about resilience, but what drives him to the stage now is something deeper.
His keynotes bring together three threads of one extraordinary life: building businesses from the ground up, surviving a near-fatal accident and rebuilding everything, and the profound transformation that comes from giving back through Hark Angels.
This is not a speech about bouncing back. It is about what you build when you do.
Eight operations. Seven failed. A first-in-world knee transplant. A four-year recovery.
Return on Resilience is the framework Richie built from that experience — co-developed with a neuro-resilience psychologist and delivered to audiences at Google, Accenture and conferences around the world.
Not a speech about survival. A process for what comes after.
Vending machines at fifteen. A laundromat. A beer company. A winery chosen for Noma's Australian residency. This keynote is also about the mentality behind the build — the hunger, the instinct to find the return in everything, and what happens when the ground shifts and you have to start again.
The greatest return on any investment is the one you make in other people.
There comes a point when achievement alone is no longer enough.
After building businesses, rebuilding his own life, and discovering a second chance carried a responsibility beyond himself, Richie founded Hark Angels, a mission to build 100 schools in some of the world's most disadvantaged communities.
Today, twelve schools have been completed across Myanmar and Cambodia, creating educational opportunities for thousands of children and proving that lasting success isn't measured by what we accumulate, but by what we leave behind.
Through deeply personal stories from the communities he has come to know, Richie explores purpose, generosity, leadership and the profound impact of investing in other people.
Living is Giving is an invitation to redefine success, not by what we achieve for ourselves, but by the difference we make in the lives of others.
Living is Giving.
